Poll results

Dalston Community First ran 2 further polls during 2012.  The result of the polls are as follows:

At the end of 2012 the poll asked “How many Play Streets should Dalston have?” The poll ran throughout 2013. Many votes were cast and resulted in 46% of people voting for 10 or more play streets.

The result will be put to the local Councillors for them to take forward with local residents.

During April 2012 the question “Where should the next ward priorities focus?” was put to poll.

The highest votes were received by:

Crime

Education

Heritage

Recreation

Which all received 25% of the vote.

The result formed part of the panels deliberation in setting the priorities for 2013.

Dalston History

Can anyone help.

I am trying to trace my father’s family who lived in Dalston, and wonder if any of your readers might know of them.

They lived in Forest Road. My father was Horace Louis Levy, born in 1919. His Father was Henry and his Mother was Eliza Jemima. There were siblings, Reginald, John and Betty.

It would be great if anyone has memories they would  share with me. Address: 15 Wesley Close, Nantwich, Cheshire, CW5 5SN.

February 2012 poll result

Dalston Community First ran a poll during February on the state of the two primary schools in the Ward.  The result of the poll was 100% in favour of the schools being developed.

Suggesting that the Councils priority for the application of Community Infrastructure Levy planning gain derived from the developments taking place in Dalston should be towards upgrading the wards primary schools.
